On September 28, Public Foundation of Kansai Research Institute (KRI) has concluded three MOUs with overseas organizations and established an international cooperation support system.
Through this partnership, we aim to cooperate with each organization, aiming to create Smart City in Keihanna and promote open innovation.

• Signing Ceremony with Dalian High-Tech Zone, CHINA
  The memorandum of understanding in regards to the mutual development in the Smart-City field

• Conclusion of memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Joint Research Unit in urban sciences (JRUus), Laval University, Quebec Canada
  for establishing international collaboration support system for promotion of open innovation
  

  MOU signatory	Sébastien Tremblay Director of JRUus, Professor of Laval University Masanori Nakagawa Managing director and Secretary-general of KRI
  Collaborative fields	Joint research and development in the fields of urban engineering and social engineering, human resource exchange, symposiums, seminars, etc.
  Period	5 years from October 2017

• Conclusion of memorandum of understanding with Science and Technology Park Chiang Mai University (CMU STeP), Chiang Mai, Thailand
  for establishing international collaboration support system for promotion of open innovation
  

  MOU signatory	Tanyanuparb Anantana Director of Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University Masanori Nakagawa Managing director and Secretary-general, KRI
  Collaborative fields	Joint research and development and establishment of experimental platform in the field of IoT, automatic driving, agriculture etc., human resource exchange, symposiums, seminars, etc.
